Christmas is coming

I cannot believe that it is almost Christmas. Time sure does fly when you are trying to meet deadlines. We had an amazing thanksgiving, we stayed home this year with the kids. The turkey turned out delicious. I channeled my inner Martha Stewart and oven baked my mashed potatoes this year. They were to die for. The very best part of the holidays is I for once requested vacation, so for thanksgiving I got to be home a whole 9 days straight. Here is a woot, woot for being a lazy ass for 9 days. I worked on some homework during my time off, hardly but it counts. I mean, 2 hours is better than 15 minutes, right? At the very least we cleaned and organized the kitchen, and that makes me happy.

We did not do black friday this year, on account of being low on cash. Next year I will totally be irresponsible and won’t pay my bills on time just so I can go out there and buy some discounted items. The other great reason was that I kinda slept until 2pm, all the good stuff was long gone. :)

I did find some very awesome blogs and spent lots of time on pinterest. I don’t like how this post turned into a list of excuses lol.

Can you tell that I am very excited about christmas ???

In The Sun

I am loving this song.

Essie how I love you

Essie how I love you

I often do not consider myself an obsessive person. I realized these past two weeks that when I want something I would go great lengths to obtain it. I love pinterest and find myself browsing for hours. I spotted matte nail polish months ago, but saw a wonderful black shiny french tip with matte tips. I finally set out to find a matte top coat. I was told that the best was Essie’s Matte About You. I went to Target and I could not find it, even though I remember seeing it a week before hand. I went to Ulta (for 4 days straight) and to CVS in search of Matte About You, with no luck. I was really mad! I even whined about it on facebook, lol. I finally found a vendor selling it on Amazon. They also had a ton of colors, I bought a whole bunch!

Here is my haul and my nail of the week.

Giveaway: Shutterfly Holiday Cards

Giveaway: Shutterfly Holiday Cards

When it comes to holiday cards I am the queen! Everyone looks forward to see which card our family chooses to give during Christmas. The down side is that I procrastinate 98% of the time and when I finally get my stuff together it is too late to order from a printer. For example, about 2 years ago I got the wonderful Idea to make my own holiday cards, and my oh my, I was so overwhelmed. I wasted time and sanity trying to get my formatting right. I will never do that again, Shutterfly has wonderful and high quality cards at affordable prices. Best of all you don’t have to do anything but order your cards and they even come with envelopes. Have you ever rushed to a 24 hour Walmart to get envelopes? This girl has, and let me tell you it’s no fun. I plan on using the Joy Ornament Christmas Card this year. It is perfect I can have a picture of the whole family and one of just the kids. I am sure that my family will love it. Best of all I don’t have to fight with Photoshop this year J. Shutterfly will be my go to place for calendars and photo gifts from now on.

Shutterfly has offered 3 readers the chance to receive 25 free 5×7 cards.
